Wow... check out that very impressive udder!!
"A picture speaks a thousand words"
Her owner, Joanne Karohl,
states: "Greatly increased capacity this time (first test day 5.4 pounds milk;
averaging 4.8 pounds per day at 75 days), but still the same nice attachments."

Fun loving Calli, with the same sweet disposition as
her
dam (looks AND cries like her too! If only I could stop
calling her Zee!). Level, long neck, nice width, nice leg set, beautiful, feminine
face. Calli came to live here at approximately 3 weeks young. I used to
bring her in every day to nap with me (I think I enjoyed it more than she did). She loves
attention and affection. When I sit low to the ground, Calli will put both front
legs (curled under) on my chest and I know she's hugging me. I just love this little doe! Her sire,
Dragonfly IH Orbit
, will be a buck to be reckoned with, I think! He is currently a herd sire at
God's Love Farm.

Dealya's dam is Old Mountain Farm Dubonnet; Old Mountain Farm's first
homegrown Master Champion. Dealya is so refined and eloquent. A beautiful
"dairy" body, long and very level, pretty face, long neck and such a good friend!! She is
"my girl"! Shy with strangers, but so well behaved. A great mother too!
She has a lovely personality and is very smart and patient. She tells you she's though
on the milk stand by tapping her left foot. She reminds me of a little black
stallion... very sleek and dignified. We can't dismiss her wonderful pedigree, either!
She has excellent manners on the milk stand and easy to milk with large orifices; though her
teats do point out slightly. |

| DOB 4/19/05 (quad)
Mer-Zee was one of the first goats to come live here at Humble Acres Farm; she was just 7 weeks
old. She had such a wonderful and sweet disposition; very calm, but could "hold her own".
She now resides at
Whitbred Farm
and continues to receive the same loving care as she did here. See her 2007 daughter,
Old Mountain Farm Callisto. |

Per Sue Brennan: "This picture doesn't begin
to show what a lovely doe Meshach is, nor how horribly
unhappy she was at being photographed! Nonetheless, she
cooperated *somewhat* <g>, although her attributes aren't
shown well. This doe is deep and wide, and has a near
perfect mammary system. I'd have to say that Meshach
probably has the highest rear udder in my herd. Her udder
has incredible lateral attachment, perfectly placed plumb
teats, and tons of capacity. Her udder's only weakness is
the foreudder - she has a shelf and could use more
extension. Oh well - she's still a huge asset to the herd!
I did make an attempt at showing Meshach, which I'll never
do again. She was stressed out more than I've ever seen,
bloated up and basically flipped out.
At 13 yrs. old, Meshach is still going
strong. This crazy old goat has become one of my all time
favorites. It appears that this old gal's reproducing days
are long past, but she's more than welcome to live out a
life of leisurely retirement right here - she's earned it."
Retired; Meshach died in her sleep the
morning of Dec. 8, 2008 - a long life, well-lived.

Senna gets
herd award for her nice udder
and independence.
Senna is a very strong, correct
doe. She is the most
independent and unassuming doe
I've ever owned, and she is the
only one that has been able to
figure out how to open all the
grain pails. Senna hates
chaos and will go to great
lengths to avoid it. She is
very petite, still, at almost 1
1/2 years old. "Her
half sister by Funny Cide,
First
Flight, earned her
GCH Jr leg as a yearling and
promptly freshened with a very
nice udder--she was unbeaten in
her class in 8 straight shows as
a yearling first freshener.
Sunni Florence states this: "I
think this doe has tremendous
potential. Nice and high, tight,
you can see the medial but it
doesn't really stand out yet,
nicely placed teats and moderate
capacity--rather than one with
tremendous capacity, deep
medial, huge teats, etc. In our
experience does like this one
turn out to be the does that
make the long haul. Their udders
improve with every freshening,
and they still have an
exceptional mammary at 13 years
old. This is the sort of udder I
look for in my first freshening
does. All of the correct
elements are there."
Senna's udder is very soft with
very easy to milk teats and
collapses down to nothing.
Joanne of
Dragonfly Farm states:
"The udder is extremely well
attached and structurally very
sound. She has a very well
extended, horizontal fore udder;
that reflects a very well
constructed medial that attaches
well forward and a very high
tight rear udder."
VERY well attached second
freshening udder, though her
teats could be larger and
definitely more plumb.

Wild is very petite
at about 19 inches
tall, but Wild's

states: "Still

I have been wanting
